Pipe Problems

We're prepared to correct a number of pipe problems, including:

Roots in sewer pipeline: Tree or shrub roots have invaded the sewer line and/or have damaged the line, preventing normal cleaning.

Broken, cracked, offset or collapsed pipe: Pipes have been damaged due to shifting soil, frozen ground, settling, etc.

Sewer Blockages, Grease buildup or foreign objects restrict or prohibit proper water flow and/or cleaning of the sewer line.

Pipe Blockage: Grease buildup or a foreign object is restricting or prohibiting proper flow and/or cleaning of the line.

Pipe Corrosion: The pipe has deteriorated and/or broken, causing collapses in the line and restricting flow.

Bellied pipe: A section of the pipe has sunk due to ground or soil conditions, creating a valley that collects paper and waste.

Leaking joints: The seals between pipes have broken, allowing water to escape into the area surrounding the pipe.

Off-grade pipe: Existing pipes are constructed of substandard material that may have deteriorated or corroded.

Pipe Relining: This is an option creating a new pipe within the old pipe to avoid having to dig/excavate the pipe to replace it.

Frozen Pipes

This problem typically occurs in winter on cold, low temperature days, in walls or crawl-spaces where heat from your home is at a minimum. Keeping a faucet open and allowing a small trickle or constant drip can prevent your pipes from freezing and/or bursting. You should also know where your main water valve (main shut-off) is, in the event a pipe freezes and bursts - and know how to shut it off. In the event you discover a frozen pipe, from which you cannot get any flow of water, you should call Atomic Rooter immediately (before it bursts). We have special tools specifically designed to quickly and safely thaw frozen pipes.

Here are some plumbing tips to help minimize the risk of frozen pipes, and to help prevent damage and expensive repairs:
  • Make sure the heat is turned on in the building and is set no lower than 60 degrees Fahrenheit even if you’re away or the building is not occupied.
  • Shut off the water main leading into the structure to reduce pressure on frozen pipes and minimize flooding if the pipes burst.

Atomic Rooter was very professional and responsive. We needed a broken faucet replaced in the kitchen. The Atomic Rooter crew came the same day to assess, then returned later and installed a new faucet. We also had a chronically leaking toilet and they replaced that as well the next day. Outstanding work as usual – they are the first number I call if we have plumbing issues.

Great service – they came out within a couple hours of calling them and were able to clear a gutter drain that ran under our driveway and was clogged. Wouldn’t hesitate to hire them again.
